Dora Dimitrova is one of the most promising Bulgarian violinists of her generation. In 2004, she won the position of Concertmaster of the New Symphony Orchestra in her native Sofia. Dora has also won numerous competitions, including First Prize winner of the Young Virtuosi International Competition, as well as numerous awards from Prague, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, and Vienna. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree in Violin Performance at Stony Brook University, where she also holds a Masters degree. As well, Dora has earned both Masters and Bachelors degrees from the National Academy of Music “Pantcho Vladigerov” in Bulgaria. Since 2011 Dora lives in the United States.
